Peer Ministry

Pictured left are former Peer Ministers Andy Ritts and Kari Fields hard at work in the peer ministry office. Each semester the Wesley Board interviews and selects up to four students to serve for during the upcoming semester.

Peer Ministers should be a sophomore, junior, senior, or grad student and are encouraged to have been active in Wesley at least two semesters prior to applying, but will be considered on an individual basis. He/she should have been active in a variety of Wesley activities. Other personal qualities include: punctuality, strong sense of responsibility, creativity, ability to take initiative, ability to communicate easily and share their faith openly, ability to work as part of a team, flexibility, openness to learning, openness to trying new things.

Time commitment is approximately 5-8 hours per week over the course of 15 weeks (finals week is excluded). It is expected that Peer Ministers will be present for Midweek Worship, Sunday Suppers and a Sunday planning meeting at 4:30 p.m.

The stipend for this position is $450 per semester.
