Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto

Saturday, February 9, 7pm

Le Boeuf Sur Le Toit was originally commissioned by Charlie Chaplin to be soundtrack to one of his movies. When the original plan failed, Milhaud converted the music into a surreal ballet - and a fun one. As for Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, the piece really needs no introduction. Our soloist, Natalie Toida, flew from Seattle just for this occasion.
