United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is an organization whose circles meet on different days and on different times of the day in an attempt to meet the needs of as many women as possible. Six times a year we meet together. Each circle and the Executive Committee take turns representing the church working at the Wardrobe and we all contribute individually and collectively to missions in and around Columbia. The purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The MUMC unit includes nine women's circles that meet at various times during the month. UMW General Meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month and feature a special program and fellowship time.

MUMC UMW Book Club
The MUMC UMW Book Club meets at 10:00 a.m. every other month on the second Wednesday starting in January. Join us for coffee and stimulating discussion. Call Diane Fitzgerald, (573) 443-1158 for more information.
Evening Book Club

Circles
Circles are small groups within the Unit that have formed over the years to meet the needs of their members. Come join a circle of love. If you don’t find a group that meets your needs or interests, let us know, and we’ll help you start one!
Bratton-Cunningham Circle
Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the homes of members. Chair: Georgia Nolph.
Breakfast Group
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. at Upper Crust, 3107 Green Meadows Way.
Co-Chairs: Pat Weaver and Phyllis Miller.
Esther Circle
Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in Room 302 at MUMC or in a member's home. Contact: Ester Mendoza.
Gibson Circle
Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor or in the place designated in the yearbook. Chair: Patsy Watts.
Grace Circle
Meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 9:15 a.m. in the church parlor. Childcare is provided in Room 101. Co-Chairs: Joan Turner & Andrea Sept.
Searcy-Feely Circle
Meets the 3rd Wednesday during January-May and September-November at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor.

Sophia Circle
Sophia Circle is a group of women of all ages that focuses on service projects in the community. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. (except July and August). Contact: Jessica Bach.
Stallings Circle
Meets the 2nd Tuesday at 1:00pm in members homes. Co-Chairs: Carolyn Jacob and Pat Hoehle.
Susanna Circle
Meets the 2nd Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Lenoir Manor (left wing meeting room) for refreshments and programs. Co-Chairs: Carolyn Steinhaus and Edie Cooper.
Val's Circle
Meets the 3rd Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for dinner and 6:30 for business and program in the church parlors. Chair: Melinda Lockwood.
