State Outreach

Festival of Sharing (573) 474-3332
The Festival of Sharing is a multi-denominational mission outreach program that is held yearly on the third Saturday in October (closest date to World Food Day) at the State Fair Grounds in Sedalia. Currently, twenty-eight (28) church denominations and faith communities participate in this statewide ingathering. Beginning in March each year, MUMC monthly Festival projects are published in the Messenger and the Sunday worship bulletin. Festival of Sharing project booklets are available in May in the south entrance of MUMC.

Kingdom House (314) 421-0400)
This is a neighborhood social service agency sponsored by The United Methodist Church that has served residents in the Near South side of St. Louis since 1902. The dedicated staff and volunteers provide high quality social services to low-income families. Through Kingdom House, local residents develop resources, broaden personal vision, improve social and economic skills, and move towards self-sufficiency.

Missionaries (573) 474-7155
MUMC has provided financial support for one of our conference missionaries, Joe Bartelsmeyer. Joe has been actively involved in Missouri VIM projects (including disaster emergency response), as Missouri's Hunger Relief Advocate, and in The Society of St. Andrew Ministries, including its gleaning project.
